We are seeking to employ a full-time intermediate accountant with a minimum 2 years’ experience in public accounting and CA or CPA qualifications (or be working towards completion of either of these qualifications) who has experience in a broad range of accounting structures including superannuation funds.

About the Role

Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Preparation of BAS, financial statements and tax returns for clients
• Assisting with business advisory services for clients including conducting research on a range of taxation issues
• Developing relationships with your clients and managing your client list
• Communicating with external parties when required (SMSF auditors, financial advisors etc)
• Mentoring and assisting junior staff members
• Actively prioritising tasks, managing workflow and meeting deadlines
• Handling routine client queries without assistance from managers

About You

The successful candidate/s will possess the following key attributes:

• Have CA/CPA qualifications, or be nearly complete
• Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal skills and client management experience
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• High level organisational skills and the ability to work towards deadlines
• Advanced experience using accounting packages (MYOB, Reckon, Xero etc)
• Experience with CLASS software (advantageous but not essential)
• Advanced computer skills, including use of Excel and other Microsoft products
• Understanding of taxation law and/or SMSF law
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Friendly with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Team player
